Dr. Raj Gogna, Principal Dentist, BDS(Hons), LDS, DGDP, MGDSRCS( Eng.), MSc, FFGDP(UK) - Accredited Specialist in Prosthodontics. GDC Registration No. 59463
Dr. Raj Gogna has over 20 years' experience in general and cosmetic dentistry, and is the Principal Dentist at London Cosmetic Dentistry. He graduated from the University of Manchester in 1984 and passed the MGDS Diploma from the Royal College of Surgeons in 1995. He obtained an MSc in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics in 1996, became a Registered Specialist in Prosthodontics with the General Dental Council in 2002 and, in 2003, was awarded Fellowship in General Dental Practice from the Royal College of Surgeons, the highest level of recognition in General Dental Practice from the Royal College.
Dr. Gogna is highly experienced in complex restorative dentistry and cosmetic dentistry including dental implants, porcelain veneers, multiple crowns and bridgework, removable prostheses and endodontics. He has particular expertise in "Smile Design" and "Smile Makeovers" and is passionate about improving the lives of patients through the creation of natural, healthy-looking smiles.
Dr. Raj Gogna has been involved in the training of newly qualified dentists for the past 21 years. He has been an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons and is a member of many prominent dental organisations.
Dr. Pratik Sharma BDS(Hons), MFDS RCS(Ed), MSc, MOrth RCS(Ed), FDS(Orth) RCS(Ed) - Accredited Specialist in Orthodontics. GDC Registration No. 76562
Dr. Sharma qualified as a dentist at Guy's Dental Hospital in 1999, obtaining his Bachelor of Dental Surgery Degree with Distinction. During hospital posts in oral & maxillofacial surgery, restorative dentistry and a year in general dental practice, he completed his postgraduate dental fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh in 2001.
He went to complete a three-year full-time specialist orthodontic training program at The Royal London Hospital. During this period he obtained a Master of Science degree in Orthodontics from the University of London, achieving a distinction for his research thesis and subsequently went on to complete his Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
Dr. Sharma has been practising orthodontics exclusively since 2002. He works part-time at our practice. As well as treating our orthodontic clients, he is a Consultant in Orthodontics at the Royal London Hospital and is a senior clinical lecturer in Orthodontics at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry. He has been published in the British Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial surgery and has resented his research at national and international orthodontic conferences and meetings. He is on the specialist register (orthodontics) of the General Dental Council and is a member of the British and European Orthodontic Societies.
As an orthodontic specialist, Dr. Sharma accepts referrals for the full range of orthodontic problems affecting adults and children and provides a variety of treatments including cosmetic "tooth coloured" braces, self-ligating braces and Invisalign ® clear braces.
Dr. Matthew Chia BDS, MFDS, MSc., MOrth, FDS (Orthodontics) - Accredited Specialist in Orthodontics. GDC Registration No. 75169
Dr. Chia qualified as a dentist at Guy's Dental Hospital in 1998, obtaining a Bachelor of Dental Surgery Degree with Distinction. He was awarded a number of clinical and academic prizes during this time. Following hospital posts in Oral & Maxillofacial surgery, Restorative Dentistry and Paediatric Dentistry, he received his membership to the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2001.
He went on to complete a three-year full-time specialist Orthodontic training programme at The Royal London Hospital. During this period, he obtained a Master of Science degree in Orthodontics from the University of London and completed his Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2005. He was also awarded the Geoffrey Fletcher Prize from the British Orthodontic Society. He undertook a further two years of higher specialist training at the Eastman Dental Institute and was awarded the Fellowship in Dental Surgery (Orthodontics) from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2008.
Dr. Chia is an accredited specialist and is on the specialist register for Orthodontics at the General Dental Council. He is a member of the British and European Orthodontic Societies.
Dr. Chia is also a Consultant Orthodontist based at hospitals in London and Surrey. He has published scientific papers and presented his research at National and International Orthodontic conferences. He is also a contributing author and reviewer for a number of National and International journals. He is involved in teaching Orthodontics at postgraduate level and actively lectures to postgraduate students and the wider dental community. More recently, he has been appointed as an examiner at the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
Dr. Neeta Patel BDS, FDS RCS(Eng.) - Accredited Specialist In Oral Surgery
After graduating from Sheffield University in 1989, Dr. Patel started on build her career in oral surgery, working as a house officer and senior house officer at hospitals in Sheffield, York and Bath. She progressed to more senior hospital roles, gaining experience in all aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery and securing posts as a locum Registrar at hospitals in Salisbury, Norfolk and Norwich, and at the Central Middlesex Hospital in London.
Dr. Patel became a Fellow of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons (England) in 1993 and is on the Specialist Register of the General Dental Council for oral surgery.
She provides specialist oral surgery expertise for our patients, treats oral surgery patients referred to our practice by other dentists and provides oral surgery services to an eastern region PCT.
Dr. Antal Roka, DMD (Dentistry), MSc. - Accredited Specialist in Oral Surgery. Dental Implantologist. GDC Registration No. 110397
Dr. Roka has been a GDC Registered Specialist in Oral Surgery since 2009. He is experienced in all aspects of oral surgery including difficult wisdom teeth extractions, the treatment of common dento-alveolar conditions and procedures such as bone augmentation using techniques such as sinus lift and autografts.
Dr. Roka is also experienced in dental implantology, including full arch reconstructions and aesthetic dental solutions. He is trained in dental implant surgery and has expertise relating to Ankylos, Nobel Replace and Alpha Bio implants. He favours minimal invasive surgery, using ‘Nobel Guide System©’ flapless surgery and the All-on-4 technique.
His education includes a MSc degree (MSc) in Medical Sciences in 2005 from NyME University, Hungary and a DMD Degree in Dentistry in 2001 from Medical University of Pécs, Hungary.
Dr Nick Vyas BDS, MSc (Periodontology), FDS (Periodontology/Oral Medicine), RCSEd. Cert. Implantology - Accredited Specialist in Periodontics. GDC Registration No. 66111
Dr. Nick Vyas qualified as a dentist in 1990 and then spent three years working in the Hospital Dental Service in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and in General Dental Practice, after which he commenced his Specialist training.
Nick gained a distinction in Periodontology from the Eastman Dental Institute in 1995 and his Fellowship in Dental Surgery by examination from the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) in 1996. He became a General Dental Council Registered Specialist in Periodontics in 1999 and completed a Certificate course in Implantology at the University of London in 2003/2004.
Dr. Vyas offers a full range of services in periodontology and the surgical placement of dental implants, from initial assessment and treatment planning, through to advanced treatments and thereafter the long term maintenance of patients, co-ordinating patient care with dental and hygienist colleagues. His clinical interests include the management of the failing implant, patient behaviour modification, the links between oral and general health, multi-speciality treatment planning and the treatment links between the various dental specialities.
A Specialist Clinical Lecturer in Periodontology at The Royal London Dental Institute (QM&St.B) from 1997 to 2010, he now lectures nationally and internationally.
Dr. Maria Mak, BDS MSc (Restorative Dent). GDC Registration No. 65985
Dr. Maria Mak qualified in dentistry from the University of Manchester in 1990. She went on to achieve her Master of Science degree in Advanced Restorative Dentistry also from the University of Manchester in 1996.
Dr. Mak has a wealth of experience in providing Advanced Restorative and Cosmetic Dentistry. Her particular interest is in modern crown and bridge designs, especially in relation to the new generation of aesthetic, natural-looking, all-porcelain restorative systems. She also has Dental Implant expertise, having completed her Year Modular Dental Implantology course with the UK’s ITI Institute in 2010, and is an experienced Invisalign Dentist. Her refined clinical skills, combined with a gentle, holistic approach, ensures that our patients enjoy a consistently high standard of cosmetic and restorative treatment and pain-free dental care.
Dr. Mak is a member of the British Dental Association, the British Society for the Study of Prosthetic Dentistry and the International Team for Implantology. She is also fluent in Chinese (Cantonese).
Dr. Periklis Ntelis, DipDS (Athens) 2003, MSc in Endodontics (London) 2007. GDC Registration No. 86084
Dr. Periklis Ntelis graduated from the Dental School, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece in 2003. After working as an associate dentist in a private practice in Athens, he joined the Greek Air Force, where he practised dentistry in the General Hospital of the Greek Air Force, Athens.
He developed a special interest in Endodontics and he was placed with the Prosthetic and Restorative Department of the hospital's Dental Unit. In 2005, he moved to UK where he worked as a full-time associate in a mixed NHS/private practice in London before engaging in the MSc programme in Endodontics at the Eastman Dental Institute (University College London). He now works exclusively in the area of Endodontics.
Dr. Deesha Ramji BDS MFDS. GDC Registration No. 84160
Dr. Ramji qualified as a dental surgeon from Manchester Dental Hospital in 2004 and completed her postgraduate dental fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2008. She has spent many years working in specialist Oral and Maxillofacial surgery centres managing referrals from general practitioners. She has special interests in oral surgery and dental implantology and is currently being mentored in the placement of Biohorizon dental implants.
Dr. Ramji also attends, monthly, an MSc in advanced restorative dentistry course which is due to be completed 2014. She prides herself on providing preventative advice and restorative treatments based on current evidence-based dentistry and has a real empathy, making her a much trusted and respected practitioner by patients and colleagues alike.
Dr. Poonam Luthra BDS. GDC Registration No. 155240
Dr. Poonam Luthra qualified from Barts and the London Dental School in 2008. She is experienced in treating treats adults and children and her calm and reassuring manner has made her a popular choice with nervous patients. She also has a special interest in Cosmetic Dentistry, particularly where it has the ability to enhance confidence and transform lives. Since her graduation, Dr. Luthra has completed a number of postgraduate courses including advanced crowns and bridges, root canal treatment, veneers and Clearstep.
Dr. Shaterian S. Bidgol, BDS. GDC Registration No. 177502
Dr. Sabina Bidgol joined Chingford Mount Dental Practice in July 2009. She has a BSc in Anatomy and Human Biology (2004) and qualified as a dentist from Guy's, King's and St Thomas' Dental Institute. She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and has a keen interest in restorative and paediatric dentistry.
Dr. Rajan Mehta BDS (Hons). GDC Registration No. 194532
Dr. Mehta joined our practice in 2011, a year after qualifying from Cardiff Dental School. He enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and has a keen interest in cosmetic and restorative dentistry.
Dr. Mehta has a very reassuring manner and is committed to delivering a high standard of dental care.
Dr. Zahra Ahmed, BDS. GDC Registration No. 211313
Dr. Ahmed qualified from Guys, Kings and St. Thomas’ Dental School and joined Chingford Mount Dental Practice in August 2011. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry but has a special interest in paediatric dentistry and restorative dentistry. As part of her postgraduate training she is working towards her MJDF (Diploma of Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties at The Royal College of Surgeons of England).
Our Dental Hygienists and Therapists
Hygienists are an essential part of the dental care team and provide valuable support to our dentists. They provide dental hygiene treatments to remove plaque and promote gum health. They also dispense health information and advice on the prevention of gum disease.
Stephanie Norris EDH, Dip HE. GDC Registration No. 3341
Stephanie qualified as a Dental Hygienist from The Eastman Dental Hospital in 1987. She has over 20 years experience working in various hospitals and dental practices, and has worked at London Cosmetic Dentistry for 8 years. Stephanie treats patients of all ages and covers a wide range of clinical needs from simple maintenance care to those requiring more complex gum treatments. She advises patients on dental care at home to help in the prevention of gum disease and provides gentle, friendly and supportive care. Stephanie is a member of the British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy.
Nicola Moody, Dip HE. GDC Registration No. 180671
Since qualifying from The Leeds Dental School as a dental hygienist, Nicola has worked in a number of private practices in the UK. Her role is to maintain and improve the oral health of our patients, treat gum disease and help prevent dental disease by providing advice on oral hygiene and cleaning techniques. Nicola regularly attends postgraduate courses to keep abreast of professional developments. She is a member of the British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy and the British Periodontal Society (extended duties).
Ann Hocherman, EDH. GDC Registration No. 2537
Ann joined Chingford Mount Dental Practice in September 2010. She qualified as a dental hygienist from Edinburgh in 1982 and has over 25 years experience, having worked in Dublin and London. Ann offers a high standard of dental hygiene treatments with particular care of nervous patients.

Our Practice Managers head friendly, helpful support teams and have great enthusiasm and dedication to efficient practice management and high quality patient care.
Amanda Connolly, Practice Manager
Amanda Connolly joined Chingford Mount Dental Practice as the Practice Manager in December 2010. She is responsible for the smooth running of the practice, the management of staff and all aspects of day-to-day dental surgery administration. Amanda is highly experienced in this area. She has worked in similar roles at two other London-based dental practices in the past and has 17 years experience in dental administration and management.
Victoria Harvey, Practice Manager
Victoria Harvey became Practice Manager at Belgrave Dental Practice in November 2011. She joined our Group in 2010 working at Chingford Mount Dental in a role that included all aspects of Reception work, general and computer-based administration and the training of others on dental surgery support software.
Victoria originally trained as a dental nurse but soon developed an interest in dental clinic administration, working as a dental receptionist and practice administrator in a number of busy London practices before joining us.

The team are Karen, Helen, Elena, Jennifer and Fatima. Each has many years' nursing experience, enabling us to deliver the highest quality dental care.
